Let me be clear, I did not get injured “doing CrossFit.”
Back in college, I was hurrying home on my bike at a high speed. The bike pedal hit the curb as I took a corner and the bike stopped. I didn’t. My right collar bone was broken clean through. Thank God that was all.
Two months later there was still no bone growth and both halves moved independently of each other. A metal plate, six screws, and a bone graft later. I was mended.
Skip ahead twenty and some years, the improper movement of the collar bone, excessive bone growth under the collar bone scrapping on the rotator cuff, and an active lifestyle have been wearing down the structure of my shoulder. That pushup demo was just the last straw. Something gave way and here I am. Surgery is first thing in the morning.
Positive thoughts people. I want that Muscle up still.
