Owner and Head Coach

“CrossFit changed my life is such a positive way, I want others to experience the same thing. Confidence, strength, clarity, live, laugh, CrossFit”
My name is Daniel, and I’ve recently moved to the area from Texas! I’ve been coaching for a little over 5 years now, and have a bachelors degree in sport and exercise science. My journey began with an internship at a powerlifting/CrossFit Gym, where I also competed in the sport of powerlifting. It’s there that I ended up drinking that CrossFit kool-aid. I ended up taking a job in a CrossFit Gym during my college years and decided that’s what I wanted to do with my life. I decided to leave Texas and a position I loved, where I was the head coach/programmer of my gym back home, in the pursuit of a dream I had to explore the Pacific Northwest and continue my career as a coach.
A few personal things, I love all things outdoors. Skiing, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, you name it. I also really love music, especially Texas country… don’t worry, I’ll get y’all familiar with some of it! Haha. I’m also passionate about the sport of CrossFit and I love to train and compete, which I look forward to getting back to once I heal this knee injury I have currently.
Coach Clara is a Level 2 Trainer and has a special interest in nutrition. “I started CrossFit in 2013 as a way to lose weight and get healthy after many failed attempts. After one day of adopting this new lifestyle, I was in disbelief at how sick I had felt and not even realized it. I wondered if most people would ever know how amazing they can feel. Because of this, I knew I wanted to be a coach the moment I knew I wanted to be a CrossFitter. “
By day Clara works as an aerospace engineer around the corner from CrossFit Bothell. Her favorite part about coaching is watching members discover all of the additional benefits that chasing fitness brings into your life – feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin, the positive energy that seeps into your job and your home life, and all the high fives that keep you coming back for more. Clara says “the way you interact with the world is through your physical body. Better your body, better your world.”
Hi! I am Goose and my favorite part about coaching is helping new people get started in their fitness journey and watching them grow as athletes, gaining confidence and strength over time. I consider it an honor to work to foster their development and progress and watching them do things they never thought possible before.
CF Level 1 Trainer
Christy started CrossFit in 2015 with very little athletic background, having had back surgery in 2011 and actively struggling with persistent joint pain. As she started to get stronger and gain more skills, her love for CrossFit grew, especially for all things gymnastics. She enjoys challenging herself in the gym and seeing what she’s capable of. Christy’s favorite things about CrossFit are the community that forms in the gym and that it can be scaled infinitely for all skill levels; everyone is welcome and can participate. She earned her CrossFit Level 1 Certification in 2017, and as a coach enjoys helping individuals meet their goals and encouraging them along the way.
Outside of the gym, Christy works full-time as a pediatric physical therapist with a special interest in wheelchair seating and positioning. She has a Bachelors degree in Biology and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is actively involved in her church and also enjoys bouldering, kayaking, roller coasters, trying new restaurants, and throwing a ball for her lovable Labrador retriever, Harper.

CrossFit not only satisfies my competitive nature but engages me to focus on all aspects of my health. Working out with the awesome community that CrossFit creates is not only inspiring but helps you push to new limits you thought were not possible. Even when the days are challenging I still love what I am doing.
I enjoy being apart of helping others realize what they are capable of. I love sharing my knowledge to help athletes reach their personal goals. Sharing my passion to make others happy, healthier and stronger is pretty awesome!
Since I was a child, I have been very active and have participated in several different group sports. I played soccer in my youth where I realized I enjoyed the high intensity and fast pace environment. Moved on to compete in track and field throughout school, 400 M was my race! I found a competitive jump rope team, where I traveled across the country mastering tricks, double-unders, and speed rope. My ultimate love is horseback riding, competing and participating in clubs as a child and now more recreational as an adult. After I took some time off out of the saddle and couldn’t stand the treadmill any longer, I found interest in CrossFit. I took my first class in August of 2010 and fell in love. I went on to get my CrossFit Level 1 and studied in exercise science/ personal training. I have been a coach at CrossFit Bothell since 2014.
